The death angel came sweeping through Oak Ridge community Saturday afternoon 5 September at 5 o'clock and claimed one of its oldest and most beloved citizens; John W. Gregg, age 86. He was a member of Oak Ridge Church for ten years. Even tho he could not attend regular , his Bible was one of his most beloved possessions which he read daily. His going leaves a vacancy that no one else can fill for he was loved by all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his going a wife; three sons, Tom, Ollie and J. Willie; three daughters, Mrs. Josie Burage, Mre. G.B. Johnson and Mrs. A.P. Hughes and a host of grandchildren.
