Services for Leon Cobbins will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Cobbins, 65, of Greenwood died of heart failure, Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Cobbins was a self-em-ployed landscaper. A native of Lexington, he received training from Manpower Inc. He enjoyed his job and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Cobbins is survived by six daughters, Bobbie Nell Cobbins-Hurst, Patricia A. Cobbins-Garrett, Brenda Stewart, Latina Parson, Venessa Cobbins-Hart and Leonia Cobbins, all of Memphis; four sons, Willie Earl Cobbins, Dennis Morris Cobbins, Elroy Cobbins and Arequealious Burks, all of Memphis; seven sisters, Geneva Williams and Sarah Holston, both of Itta Bena, Alberta Pritchett and Mary Johnson, both of Greenwood, Pinkie Pritchard of Grenada, Beatrice Ollie of Chicago and Amanda Cobbins of Lexington; 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The Rev. J.L. Smith will officiate at the services.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Williams, Henry Williams, Eddie Holston, Robert Pritchett, Mark Williams, Willie Pritchett, Terry Holston, Thomas Barcus Sr., Andrew Holston and John Holston.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jovani Johnson, Walter Williams, Marvin Williams, Rodrickus Johnson, Willie Williams, Albert Lee Bowman, Tommy Lee Gaston, Raphael Johnson, Gianni Johnson and Thomas Barcus Jr.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at Great Southern Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Pitts Cemetery in Itta Bena.
