LOGAN, UTAH: Eldora Peterson Couch, 88, of Logan passed away Sunday May 11,2003 at her home in Logan.She was born April 22, 1915 in Logan, Utah to Peter J. and Thilda L. Peterson. She married Joseph Allgood Couch on June 30, 1940 in Logan, Utah.
She was a graduate of Utah State University with a degree in education. She held various teaching positions in several school districts. She enjoyed teaching and loved meeting her former students and hearing about how their lives had progressed. She and Joe were long-time members of the Logan Golf and Country Club and enjoyed numerous golfing vacations with their friends over the years. Another favorite pastime was playing bridge with many of her lifelong friends. She was a recently baptized member of the LDS church.
Eldora is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Schen, of Logan, and her son, Ralph (Janice) Couch of Logan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Nathan (Susie) Couch, Adam Couch, Sara (Darron) Kelley, Greta Schen, Maren (Brandon) Corbett, Peter Schen, and Jackson Couch, and two great-grandsons, Garrett Kelley and Emmett Couch.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe, her brother, Charles Golden Peterson, and two infant granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16 at noon in the Allen-Hall Mortuary with Bishop Hyrum A. Hall conducting. Friends may call Thursday evening at the mortuary from six to eight p.m. and Friday morning from 10:30 to 11 :30 a.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
