FORMER RESIDENT DIED
Suddenly of heart trouble Rees Leyshon David for many years a known resident of the Heights died at his home in Dorsey, Maryland, Saturday. Mr. David was born in Margam, Glamorganshire, South Wales on Oct 8, 1843 and came to this city over thirty years ago. For over twenty years he was a deacon of the First Welsh Congregational Church on Hillside Street. Several years ago he moved from this city to live with his daughter and two sons. He was a member of the Knights of Phthlae and the For????? of America. The following children survive: Arthur, William R, and Mary H. David of Dorsey, MD., Mrs. David Thomas of Washington, DC and Evan J. David of New York. His wife Jane died in this city twenty-four years ago. The remains were brought to this city this morning for internment in Hollenback cemetery.
