Edith E. Cummings, 73, of Lions Den Rd., Nedrow, died Thursday, March 23. She is survived locally by a brother, Horace Reed of Marietta. Services were March 27 at Norris Funeral Home, Marcellus, te Rev. James Fraser officiating. Spring burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino.

The Marcellus Observer's article used a very narrow focus in reporting my aunt's death. It made it 'appear' there was only one brother 'locally' when, in fact, there were several bothers and sisters locally, Aunt Edith was one of TWENTY siblings bu the same two parents...no multiple births My father, Louis Reed, an older brother, was also a 'local' survivor at the time.
