Louis Charles Reed , 82, of 3777 Lions Den Road, Nedrow, died Sunday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Reed was born in Eagle Village and had lived in Nedrow for many years. He retired in 1976 as a mechanic for the Allied Chemical Co. after 35 years.

Surviving are his wife, the former Lenora I. Youker; two sons, Alvin L. of Constantia, and Herbert C. of Philadelphia, N.Y.; two brothers, Frederick of Cardiff, and Horace of Marietta; four sisters, Catherine Brown of Chittenango, Edna Kraynak, Grace Reed and Mildred Brown, all of Syracuse; eight grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ballweg and Lunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Onondaga Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina St.
