WAPELLO, Iowa - Ronald M. Ament, 1922-2005, died Nov. 12, 2005, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Clinton Township, Mi.
Mr. Ament and his wife, the late Arsema, Sept. 16, 1926 - March 9, 1992, have been cremated.
Rev. Scott Smith will officiate. Family and friends are welcome.
Mr. Ament was born to Marshall D. Ament and Daisy A. Nearhood on Jan. 23, 1922, in Burlington.
He lived in the Wapello area while growing up, where he met and married Arsema F. McKeever of Morning Sun. They were married on May 9, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. After serving in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 28, 1942 to Dec. 7, 1945, he worked primarily in automotive repair until his retirement in 1988.
He is survived by two daughters, Gail A. Waugaman of Chesterfield, Mi. and Marsha D. Ament of Lyman, Neb.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two siblings; a brother, Leslie N. Ament of Burleson, Texas and a sister, Doris Barinski of White Cloud, Mi.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brothers, Robert V. Ament.
The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home at Wapello provided the local arrangements.
