Sister Mary Clarentia (Anne) Kroll, 95, died on October 20, 2004, at Merit Care, Fargo, ND.
A Mass of Remembrance will take place at St. Henry's Church, Perham, on Saturday, October 23, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at St. Henry's Church from 5 - 8 p.m. on Friday, October 22. A Franciscan Prayer Service will be held at St. Henry's Church on Friday, October 22, at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on Monday, October 25, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent on Sunday, October 24, from 4 - 8:30 p.m., and from 8 a.m. until the time of the funeral on October 25. Arrangements are by Brenny & Simonet Funeral Home, Little Falls. A prayer service will be held at the Convent at 7 p.m. on October 24.

Sister Mary Clarentia was born on May 23, 1909, near Royalton, Minn. She was the 11th of 13 children born to the late Lawrence and Johanna (Mucha) Kroll. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls, Minnesota, on August 12, 1931. She made first profession of vows on August 12, 1933, and final vows on August 12, 1936. She was a Franciscan Sister for 73 years.

Sister Clarentia ministered in health care all her religious life. She served in Dodgeville, Wis.; Breckenridge, Moorhead, Alexandria and Perham, Minn. She ministered in Perham from 1960 until her death.

Sister Clarentia was preceded in death by all her siblings: Paul, William, Frances Bursch, Bridget Zwack, Frank, Joseph, Ignatius, Roman, Reverend Aloysius, Benedict, Emily Smieja and Helen Kalis. Survivors include relatives in her Franciscan Community: nieces--Sisters Lillian Kroll, Leonette Bursch, and Felicia Kroll; Little Falls; Sister Ida Bursch, St. Cloud; Sister Adeline Kroll, Berkeley, Calif.; cousin, Sister Gemma Gallus; many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces and her Franciscan Community.
