Zachary P. Parker, 77, died suddenly at his home in Kershaw Wednesday night, Jan. 5, 1949.

Funeral services will be conducted from the First Baptist Church at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon by the Rev. Leslie W. Edwards, pastor.

Mr. Parker was an employee of the Kershaw Telephone Company for the past 45 years, remaining active until his death. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nettie Johnson Parker: three sons and six daughters, T.J. and Robert of Kershaw, Harvey of Marion, NC, Mrs. R.D. (Lucille) Younger of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. G.C. (Ruth)Miller of Columbus, Ga., Mrs. Gilbert (Susie) Fender of Ehrhardt, Mrs. Dorothy Robinson, Misses Lula and Shirley Parker of Kershaw; three children by a former marriage, Mrs. Cora Payne of Lancaster, Mrs. Minnie Morgan of Kershaw and Coleman Parker of Miami, Fla.
