She professed her first vows on 20 Apr 1924 at the Dominican Mother House at Mission San Jose, Alameda Co., California. Two of her other sisters also joined the Dominican Order of Nuns,
Ann Marie Rusting, Sister Benigna (1985-1919, the great flue epidemic) and Bernadine Mary Rusting, Sister Mary Vincentia later name changed in 1976 to Sister Bernadine (1902-1995).
