Obituary. WOMAN DIES OF INJURIES IN ACCIDENT. An 83-year-old Ogden woman died today of injuries received when she was struck by a car Dec. 12 at 13th and Washington.
Ida Hutchinson Higham of 1312 Washington was crossing Washington when struck by a car driven by Pete Genemaras, 46, of 757 E 675 N. Mr. Genemaras, who told officers he did not see Mrs. Higham until just before he struck her, was cited for alleged improper lookout. The mishap occurred about 6:45 p.m.
TOLL NOW 12. Mrs. Higham's death brought the 1968 traffic toll in Ogden to 12 double that of 1967. She was the ninth pedestrian to die on Ogden City streets during the year.
Mrs. Higham was born Aug. 29, 1885, in Lafayette County, Fla., a daughter of Marritt and Ardelia George Hutchinson.
On Sept. 29, 1905, she was married to Thomas B. Higham in Tooele, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
PRIMARY TEACHER. She was a member of the 7th LDS Ward and had been a Sunday School and Primary teacher and Relief Society visiting teacher.
She had lived in Florida, Salt Lake City, Pocatello, Idaho, and Omaha, Neb., prior to moving to Ogden 20 years ago.
Surviving are five sons and two daughters, Marritt S. Higham, Detroit, Mich., Darrell J. Higham, Kansas City, Kan., Wendell R. Higham, Boise, Idaho, Andrew E. Higham, New Orleans, La., Edwin L. Higham, Ogden; Mrs. Vance (Mildred) Bigler, Portland. Ore; Mrs. Dee J. (Alice) Valentine, Culver City, Calif.; 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced by the Myers Mortuary

Obituary. HIGHAM - Funeral services for Ida Hutchinson Higham, of 1312 Washington Blvd., will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Austin L. Clifford of the 7th Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday prior to the services. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, directed by the Myers Mortuary.
