Joseph P. Gillespie, 64, of Cantrall, formerly of Chicago, died Sunday at his home in Cantrall. He was a painter and a member of Local Union No. 147. He is survived by one son, Thomas of Chicago; one daughter, Miss Phyllis Gillespie of Chicago; four sisters, Mrs. Marie Cory, Mrs. Louis (Ellen) Fuhrman, both of Springfield, Mrs. Ann Wasilewski of Cantrall, Mrs. Teresa Johnson of Miami, Fla., and two grandchildren. Services at St. John Vianney Church at Sherman. burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Springfield.
