Mrs. Maggie E. Close, 97, of 6020 Fairview avenue, died Mon-day afternoon at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Ruth Rathbone of Boise, after a long illness.
Mrs. Close was born April 7, 1860, in Wiota, Wis. She was a member of the Methodist church, She had lived in Boise since 1948.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Rathbone are a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Vincent of Memphis, Tenn.; a son, Chester Close of Aberdeen, S. D., four other grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Blanche Sherman, died in 1956.
Services will be announced by the Summers chapel.
