OBITUARY
Mrs. Eliza Bragg died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W.H. Murphy near LaPlata Tuesday Oct. 2d, 1893 at 8:30 p.m. of Paralysis, aged 79 years 11 months and 3 days. She was born in Virginia, Nov. 5th, 1813, was married to James Bragg in Jan. 1831, to whom was born 15 children of whom 8 are still living--4 sons and 4 daughters. She joined the Baptist church in Kentucky when 25 years old and has ever since been a consistent christian. She was only sick a few days prior to her death. Interment took place Wednesday afternoon the remains being laid to rest in the family grave yard. Short services were held at the grave by Rev. M.C. Wright. The sermon is to be preached in the future by Rev. John S. Clark.
