Her modern headstone reads she was born in Scotland. While her parents may have been born in Scotland, Louise was more likely born in Virginia. She was at the very least a first generation American born here.

Elias Mackey married Louise Wall, daughter of Mathias Wall, born 1720.
Note; Mathias Wall was a known Patriot at the Battle of Kings Mountain.

James Watson, assignee of Thomas Potter, assignee of Mathias Wall, assignee of George Finley - 70 ac - Treasury Warrant - on Gross Creek [sic Loves Mill VA] running into the south fork - in a valley - warrant #12166 June 4, 1782 - August 19, 1785

Note; A Frethis AKA "Mathias" Wall family is in Cocke South of Greene) County, Tennessee from about 1800. This Wall family is likely related.
