He was born May 26, 1938, to Roy and Doris Beatrice Blanchard in Alicia. A lifetime resident of Walnut Ridge, he was a retired inspector for the Arkansas Poultry and Livestock Commission and of the Baptist belief.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Blanchard of Walnut Ridge; daughter, Lisa (David) Betts of Jonesboro; son, Roy Byron Blanchard II of Walnut Ridge; sisters, Doris Highfield of Powhatan and Linda Bales of Lorado; and two grandchildren.
Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park..
