ABERDEEN (NC) —Oleta Gertrude
Fogleman, 82, of Aberdeen formerly
of Alamance and Guilford Counties
died Saturday, January 29, 2005 at
First Health Moore Regional Hospital
in Pinehurst.
A funeral service was held at 11
a.m. on Tuesday at Page Memorial
United Methodist Church. A graveside
service will be held at 3 p.m. at
Pleasant Hill Christian Church
Cemetery in Liberty.
Ms. Fogleman was born on May
19, 1922 in Chatham County to the
late Rev. Leland Walker and Emma
Andrews Fogleman. She was a
long-time employee of Liberty Hosier
Mills, a former member of the
Brightwood Christian Church in Gibsonville
where she served in various
positions and an active member
with Page Memorial UMC, where
she served as treasurer and librarian.
She retired from Aberdeen Tricot
and was a sports enthusiast and
a poet. A brother, L. Glenn Fogleman,
preceded her in death.
She is survived by sisters Ursula
F. Loy of Greenville and Maxine F.
Pike of Siler City; and 13 nieces and
nephews.
The family received friends at
Boles Funeral Home in Southern
Pines.
