John Dykstra, age 91, went to his eternal mansion to live with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at his home in Lynden, WA.

He was born January 21, 1912 to Peter and Trintje (Vanderby) Dykstra in South Holland, Illinois. His family homesteaded in Rapleje, Montana and then moved to Minnesota where he completed much of his schooling and worked on farms for room and board.

In his early twenties he moved to the Manhattan, MT. where he met his wife, Pearl Dyk, and raised his family. John was a lifetime dairy farmer of registered Holstein cattle with the prefix ‘Nookrest' and was very will known in the dairy industry.
