Winnifred was the eldest daughter of Fred and Rose Luther. She married William Buchholz and they had one daughter, Faye. Winnifred served as organist of St. John Lutheran Church in Embden for many years and she was employed by the Farmers Union Oil Company until poor health forced her retirement. She died of kidney disease and cancer.
