He held a number of positions in the communications field, including working as a reporter for the Dunkirk Evening Observer, as direc-tor of public relations at Jamestown Community College, public relations direc-tor for the Lakes Area Re-gional Medical Program, and, prior to his retirement, as director of public relations for Blue Cross of Western New York.
Mr. Zerbo was a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Meeting Planners International, the Chautauqua County Press Club, Dunkirk Moose Lodge, the American Legion Post No. 59, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Anthony's Church. He served on the executive board of the Chautauqua Italian American Organization (CIAO) and handled public relations for that organization, as well as served as chairman of the club's annual golf tournament and other events. as a a youth, he was active in the Jamestown Boys Club.
Mr. Zerbo was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, James and Russell. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie Louise (Guzzetta) Zerbo; two daughters, Margaret (Robert) Zercie of Roches-ter and Mary Lynn (Michael) Fuller of Sherrill, NY; two sons, Anthony Zerbo III (Candy) of Wimauma, FL and John A. Zerbo of Los Angeles, CA., five grandchildren, one sister, Mary L. Zerbo of Jamestown; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
