Mr. Ellis worked most of his life on a ranch near Havensville. He later worked at St. Marys Cooperative. He retired in 1981.
He was born April 11, 1915, at Havensville, the son of C. H. and Katherine Allard Ellis.
Mr. Ellis was a veteran of World War II.
He was married to Helen McBroom, December 30, 1960, at Alma. She survives.
Other survivors include three stepsons, Wayne Baker, St. Louis, MO, Charles Persons, Rossville, and Bill Persons, Gladstone, MO; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Karra Lee Magnett, Republic; two brothers, Russell Ellis and Roscoe Ellis, both of Havensville; three sisters, Mrs. Lenore Clements, Denver, CO and Mrs. Ruth Baker and Mrs. Jean Henry, both of Newburg, MO; and seven step-grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
