A retired Postmaster, she died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was born in Texarkana, Texas, and was a resident of Baton Rouge. Visitation was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Monday, Nov. 3, from 2 p.m. until religious service at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter, Renee Andrews and husband Jeff: two sons, Jim Reese Jr. and wife Sarah and Ricky Reese and wife Terri; two brothers, Bill Bayless and Warner K. Hickman; and six grandchildren, Aimee Reese, Alora Reese, Austin and Reagan Reese, Savanna and Daniel Andrews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Reese Sr. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church and UMW Circle 7, the Bengal Belles, PEO Sorority and the Red Hatters. She was an avid LSU football and basketball fan. She also enjoyed Pokeno with her friends and playing dominoes at Coffee Call. She was a breast cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure or Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
