Manuel Cox, 66, lifelong Biloxian, died suddenly at 5 a.m. Sunday at his home, 1403 7th street. He was a member of the Gulf Coast Shrimpers and Oystermen's Association, the Sea Food Workers and Oak Street Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Maggie Gavins [sic] Cox; a son, Kenneth; three stepsons, Sydney, Nathaniel and Chas. Fryou; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Manuel Skinner, Mrs. Geo Sherrill and Mrs. Ralph Lechner; a brother, Jos. Cox, Biloxi; a sister, Mrs. A. G. Gollotte and other relatives. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Oak Street Assembly of God Church by Rev. Ramby. Burial will be in Biloxi Cemetery.
