Mr. Kiehn was born Feb. 14, 1878 in Kolb Russia and came to the United States when only an infant. He has been in the community for 60 years. For about 45 years he has been in the grocery business, 8 of which were with the Ritzville Trading Co. and the remainder in his own store.
He is survived by his wife, Alice, at home; three sons, Edwin F., Aaron A., and Everett H.; one daughter Mrs. Elma Swank of coeur d'Alene, Idaho and seven grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers included Henry Amen, J. J. Schoessler, Victor Donis, W. A. Pearce, L. D. Emerson, David Hoefel, Henry Thom, Fred Luiten, Albert Ott, Emil Wellsandt and Herman Krueger. Active pallbearers were William Schaefer, Mike Thiel, Henry Schoessler, Henry Danekas, C. A. Schwerin and George Freese.
