ANDREW JACKSON (JAY) FULLER, 81, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and mentor, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Monday, November 15, 1999. Mr. Fuller owned and operated Fuller Lumber Co. from 1942 to 1960 and was active in pioneering the building and development of the Memorial-Spring Branch area of Houston. He was a founder of the Spring Branch Lions Club and the Spring Branch Dads Club which is now the Spring Branch Y.M.C.A. Besides being an avid fisherman and golfer, he was reigning Houston City Tennis Champion in both singles and doubles from 1942 thru 1948. Mr. Fuller was also State T.A.A.F. Tennis Champion in both singles and doubles and father/son doubles. He was a member and past secretary of Pine Forest Country Club where he was Club Tennis Champion and Club Golf Champion. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mattie (Pat) Fuller; daughter, Patricia Ann Fuller Raske and husband Walt; son, Douglas Jay Fuller and wife Carol; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren; his brother, Jerald Mack Fuller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 1999, Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Walter Raske officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories. For those desiring, the family suggests a donation to the charity of your choice. Pallbearers are Jay David Fuller, Rick Raske, Shawn Raske, Frank Fuller, L.W. Smith and Rolla Long. Honorary Pallbearers are E.R. Holden, Jack Lodge, Jr., and A.A. Kirkland, M.D.
