Miss Lovel Grace Bodle
Services for Miss Lovel Grace Bodle, 89, of 543 W. Main St., will be in the Primitive Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Miss Bodle, who resided with her niece, the late Mrs. Bessie Bodle Porter for many years, died at 9 p.m. Saturday in her home following several years of failing health. Born Feb. 19, 1873 in Fallsbury Township, she was the daughter of Robert and Mary Holmes Bodle. She lived in Newark for 12 years but spent most of her life in the Fallsburg vicinity. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
The last of her immediate family, she is survived only by nieces and nephews.
Elder Maurice H. Chapman will officiate. Interment will be in Fallsburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the Criss Brothers Funeral Home.
"Lovie" never married. She raised her niece, Bessie Belle Bodle, daughter of Sherman Bodle.
