Joseph Shelton Bodle, 90, retired farmer and resident of the Fallsburg vicinity, died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday in his home following five weeks' illness.
He was born Sept. 6, 1859 in Fallsburg Township, the son of Robert and Mary Agnes (Holmes) Bodle. A sister, Miss Lovel Bodle and a niece, Miss Bessie Bodle, of the home, survive. Four brothers and four sisters are deceased.
Mr. Bodle was a member of Wilkins Run Grange.
The body was returned to the home Sunday night from the d. B. Baughman & Sons funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Baptist Church in Fallsburg with Elser Herman Hartman officiating. Burial will be made in Fallsburg Cemetery.
