Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Burial: Southland Memorial Park. Rosary: 7 p.m. Thursday at Brown's Grand Prairie Funeral Home.
Ernie Cortez was born Aug. 18, 1964, in St. Paul, Minn. He was a resident of Grand Prairie until he moved to Dallas three years ago.
Survivors: Father, Robert Cortez of Duncanville; mother, Irene Cortez of Grand Prairie; brothers, Bob Cortez Jr. and Steve Cortez, both of Grand Prairie; and sister, Susie Cortez Gonzales of Grand Prairie.
