Rose Magdalen Waite, 67, was the daughter of the late Richard Carlyle and Magdalen Frances (Breyer) Waite. She married Earle Mathew LeRoy Abbott on June 8, 1949 in Monterey Co., CA. They had a daughter, Mary Inez Abbott, born in 1951.
Rose was a lifetime resident of Redlands. She graduated from Redlands High School in 1939 and attended the University of Redlands for two-and-one half years. After that she was employed in the offices of L.P. Scherer, general contractor. She was a medical secretary for 30 years for the State of California.
She was survived by her husband; daughter, Dr. Mary Abbott of Alhambra; brother, Robert Waite of Bakersfield; and sister, Mary Young of Redlands.
