Funeral services for Carl F. Schmidt, 84, a resident of the Wisconsin Hotel at New Holstein, will be held at Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein.
Mrs. Schmidt was born Jan. 30, 1882, in Schleswig, Germany, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Franz Schmidt. He came to the United States with his parents, attended district schools in Calumet County, and married Flora Pieper. From 1912 until 1949 he was head of the electric utilities in New Holstein, when her retired.
Survivors include two son, Leonard of Seymour and Evans of Cincinatti, Ohio, two daughters, Mrs. Gregor (Teckla) Koenig of New Holstein and Mrs. Edwin (Arline) Ziegelbauer of Sheboygan Falls; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and five brothers, William of New Holstein, August of Chilton, Fred of Sheboygan, Otto of Manitowoc, and Arthur of Hot Springs, Ark. One sister preceded him in death.
