She graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1969, Married Cyrus Bergeron in 1970, and had two children, Cherie Nicole Bergeron and Chad Edward Bergeron.
All she wanted in life was to stay close to home and family, raise her children, and serve the Lord. That she did exceedingly well until cancer hastened her return to her Eternal Home.
She made a conscious decision to postpone treatment for suspected cancer in order to have her second child. That was her great sacrifice as a mother and the greatest gift to her children.
Her death was the first in her family, survived by her Father and Mother, Hillman and Reda Ward, brothers William H. and Paul E. Ward, her younger sister Anna Lynn, and her much loved children.
Her funeral service was conducted by Bro. Ed Jenkins, now buried in this cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by Brown's Funeral Home in Bogalusa.
She was truly the embodiment of Philip Freneau's "Fair Flower that dost so comely grow. . . ."
