Viola Daugtrey Blackwell, age 86, died on Saturday in a local hospital. She was a native of Clark County and a resident of Chickasaw and the former bookeeper of the Brookley Credit Union. She is survived by her great nephew Michael Leveritt of Mobile; brother, Maybon Daughtrey of Coffeeville, AL; sister, Bernice Preston of Saraland, AL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Gilmer's Funeral Home from 9 until the 11:00 AM funeral hour. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
