Miss McEntee, a native of New York City, studied at the Pratt Institute and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
Her works included watercolors, woodcuts and illustrations for children's books. The skylines and river traffic of New York City were dominant subjects in her paintings. One of her watercolors was featured in the guide to the 1939 World's Fair.
In 1961, Miss McEntee retired as a high school art teacher in New York City after 38 years. In 1984, she came to live and work in Norfolk. A 50-year retrospective of her work was exhibited at Sovran Bank.
She was a member of the American Watercolor Society, the Philadelphia Water Color Club and the Virginia Watercolor Society. She attended the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Survivors include a sister, Frances M. Martin; a niece, Jane M. Deal, and a nephew, Judge Fred E. Martin Jr., all of Norfolk.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Revs. Ross Wright and Michael Hodson. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Symphony.
