Survivors included his wife, daughters; Andrea and Betty Metcalf, sons; Andrew Metcalf, Jr and Ronnie Metcalf, sisters; Mrs. June Orick, Mrs. Annie Mae Taylor, and Mrs. Alene Howard, brothers; Arron and Eugene Metcalf. Interment was in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. He was 49 years of age at his death.
