Mrs. Mae Mason, 34, died in Stamford on Saturday, 29 August 1936 from injuries in an atuo accident on a highway north of Stamford.

Funeral services held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Duncan, parents of Mrs. Mason. Rev. Sam Morris, pastor of the First Baptist church officiated. Burial in Highland cemetery.

Mrs. Mason was a membr of a pioneer Jones county family and was born in Stamford, 28 February 1902. She grew up in Stamford and joined the First Baptist Church when she was 14 years of age. She was married to Odie Mason 5 October 1920.

Survivors: parents, 2 children - Mary Jim Mason, 12 years; Hal George Mason, 10 years; 4 brothers - Ralph Duncan of Haskell, Jack of Shreveport, LA; Dudley and Paul of Stamford; 3 sisters - Mrs. O.L. Walton of Abilene, Mrs. G.W. Connell and Miss Dorothy Jim Duncan of Stamford.
