Madison-area attorney Robert "Bob" has passed awaya at the age of 76. Born and raised in Marinette, he attended U.W. Madison obtaining both his bachelor's and Juris Doctorate degrees.
Following his graduation from law school, he served as a captain in the United States Air Force Judge Advocacy Corps in the Alsace-Lorraine region of France.
After completing his service, he returned to Madison to establish his law practice where he was an active member of the Wisconsin Bar Association from 1956-2006. Bob was a proud member of the Madison Rotary Club and the Madison Club. He retired from the practice of law in 1997.
Bob had a deep interest in Wisconsin history, and also enjoyed collecting art and cooking. He was an accomplished private pilot. His other passions included hunting, motorcycling and fishing with his sons.
His retirement was spent traveling and splitting his time between residences in Mount Horeb, WI and Cocoa, FL. He lived in Florida at the time of his death.
Bob Aagaard was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest & Elizabeth (Fish) Aagaard.
He is survived by four sons, their mother, two grandsons, and three siblings.
Bob's family invited his friends to join them in a celebration of his life at The Avenue Bar, Madison, WI.
Cremation was under the direction of the Ammen Family Funeral Home in Rockledge, FL.
