ROBERTSON, Arthur Glenn, 86, of Pearisburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek. Born April 30, 1916, in Narrows, he was the son of the late Charles William & Susan Elizabeth Kelley Robertson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Lewis and Bernard Robertson and two sisters, Mary Cooper and Dorothy Porterfield. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post #6000 of Narrows, and was also a member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie Fletcher Robertson; two sons, Curtis Robertson and Ralph Robertson, both of Narrows; two brothers, Frank Robertson and Harold Robertson, both of Narrows; a loving and caring sister, Alma Spangler of Narrows; and a grandson, Jonathan Robertson of Narrows. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at 11 a.m., at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows with Rev. E.H. Shaver and Rev. Roger Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Angel's Rest Cemetery in Narrows with graveside rites conducted by VFW Post #6000 of Narrows, American Legion Post #68 of Narrows, and American Legion Post #311 of Pembroke. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
