Velma Worrell, 89, of Ackerman died March 14, 2004, at Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville.
Mrs. Worrell, a homemaker, was born Jan. 25, 1915, in McCool. She was a member of Fentress Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Worrell of Perryville, La., and Don Worrell and Robert "Bob" Worrell of Ackerman; one sister, Ella Worrell of Durant; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Worrell.
Services were March 16 at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Ackerman with burial in Old Lebanon Presbyterian Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Wise officiated.
