Leo Henry Buttke was the eldest son of Minnie and Ferdinand Buttke, Sr. He was the husband of Louise (Gebhard) Buttke. His service in the US Army Engineers during WWI included service in France. After Louise's death, he made his home for a number of years with his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Louise Gebhard. He died in the VA Hospital in Fargo from stomach hemorrhaging.
