NEW HOPE — Mrs. Ida Long Cline, 89, of New Hope, widow of Daniel Christian Cline, died Tuesday (Dec. 22. 1959) at 1:40 p.m. at Rockingham Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Sunday.

Mrs. Cline was born Oct. 2, 1870 in the Cross Keys community, a daughter of the late Conrad and Frances Baker Long.

In 1893 she married Daniel Christian Cline who died in 1934.

Mrs. Cline is survived by three sons: Daniel Arley Cline, Rufus H. Cline, and Joseph I. Cline, all of New Hope: two sisters; Mrs. Willie Driver, of Weyers Cave and Miss Ottie Long of Grottoes; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Middle River Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 00 p.m. from the Middle River Church of the Brethren. The services will be conducted by her pastor, the Marvin Clingenpeel, assisted by Rev. Fred Cline, a grandson of the deceased. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers are Charles, Oliver, Johnny, J D. Willard. Joe Jr., Martin and Roy Cline.

Granddaughters will be flower bearers are Becky Eavey.
Emma Jane Shifflett, Josephine Shifflett, Janet Weller, Jane Mundy. Ruth Fulwider. Ellen Warwick, Nellie May Wright.

The body will remain at the M. F. Long Funeral Home until noon Thursday, when it will be placed in the church.

Relatives are asked to meet at her home near here at 1:10 on Thursday.
