Mr. Cline was born April 23, 1895 at New Hope, and was a son of Daniel and Ida Long Cline.
He operated Meadow Run Dairy until retired in 1963. Mr. Cline also operated a seed and grain cleaning service 40 years.
He had been a director of Augusta Petroleum and Early Dawn Dairy and Dairy Bar in Waynesboro. Mr. Cline was a director and secretary of the New Hope Telephone Co. and had served as secretary of the Farmers Union, a forerunner of the Farm Bureau.
He had been a deacon, trustee and Sunday school superintendent at Middle River Church of the Brethren.
On Dec. 29, 1915 he married former Mary Borden, who survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Louise Kline of Bremen, Ind., Mrs. Ellen Wyrick of Rt. 1, Waynesboro, Mrs. Jane Mundy of McGaheysville, Mrs. Nell Wright of Weyers Cave and Mrs. Ruth C. Fulwider of Staunton: five sons, Oliver W. of Ft. Defiance, James D. of Rt. 2, Waynesboro, Roy L. of Rockville, Md., Fred M, of Atlanta, Ga. and Willard B. Cline of Rt. 1, Waynesboro; 21 grandchildren; a great-grandchild, and two brothers, Rufus R. and Joseph I. Cline, both of Rt. 1, Grottoes.
The funeral probably will be conducted Saturday morning at Middle River Church of the Brethren with burial in the church cemetery.
