Judith Doner

Judith A. Doner, Stoutsville, passed away Monday, May 7, 2001.

She suffered a heart attack April 29 at her residence and was taken to Berger Hospital by dedicated volunteers of the Clearcreek Township Emergency Squad. She survived a week in the hospital due to the efforts of the fine staff at Berger Hospital.

Judith was born Jan. 29, 1930, in Franklin County, and was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Ina Terry Gehres. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Olivedale Senior Center and Fairfield Genealogy Society.

She was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother, and is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gerald H. Doner; three daughters, Jennifer (Wayne) LaRue of Lancaster, Janice Raymond of Pickerington and Julia Evans of Hilliard; seven grandchildren, Trevor Smith, Joe Berendt, John LaRue, Joshua LaRue, Jacob LaRue, Jessica Smith and Tricia Raymond; three brothers, Gene M. (Patti) Gehres of San Diego, Calif., David R. Gehres of Pahrumph, Nev., and J. Philip (Gerry) Gehres of Newark, Del.; one sister, Blanche W. (Gary) Rathburn of Cleveland; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son; Gerald Joseph Doner; sister, Hope T. Johnson and brother-in-law; Dewey W. Johnson Jr.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Taylor Funeral Home, Amanda, with members of the family performing the service.

Burial will be in Dutch Hollow Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
