She was born Aug. 6, 1919, at Dodge City to Frederick and Anna Elizabeth (Feebeck) Gall. She married Kenneth S. Byers on July 16, 1939, in Garden City. He preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1984. She married Russell W. Davis on Aug. 7, 1992, in Dodge City. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2001. A longtime resident of Dodge City, Mrs. Davis was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Pippitt and husband, Larry, of Newton; one son, Dennis Byers and wife, Linda, of Wichita; one stepson, Richard Davis and wife, Carlene, of Springfield, Mo; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters and one great-granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be at 10:30 am Friday at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City, with the Rev. Randall Jahnke presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Public visitation will be from noon-8 pm today at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 Sixth Ave., Dodge City, KS 67801.
