She was born Jan. 30, 1902, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Wendel Burke.
She worked at the Leavenworth Glove Factory for 37 years until it closed and later worked part-time at the PX at Fort Leavenworth and Hallmark Cards. She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, the American Legion Auxiliary. not 23.
She married Casmir "Cy" Gorski and they were later divorced.
Survivors include one sister, Nellie Tuttle, Leavenworth.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; three brothers, Edward, John and Thomas Burke; six sisters, Edna Burke, Katherine Burke, Marie Hatfield, Agnes Klotz, Christina Crow and Margaret Taylor.
Friends may call at the Barnett-Larkin-Brown Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday with a parish rosary being recited at 4 p.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception with the Rev. David McEvoy O. Carm. officiating.
Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial are requested to the church or the Hospice of Leavenworth.
