Bio
I have been doing Find A Grave work for a few years. My participation was inspired by finding much cherished information for my own family research on this site.
Mostly what I have been doing has involved taking photos to add to existing memorials. I have digitized several complete cemeteries to more than 90% of interments with photos and have "saved" a handful of others as much as possible by recording data and photos from all the broken and time-worn stones that could be found.
I enjoy smaller more remote cemeteries that have been neglected and would otherwise be "lost" to future generations over newer ones in town. I have worked on a few that have thousands of interments and those definitely have their own special challenges even if not complicated by condition issues.
I will glady transfer any of the memorials I have created as long as they are not for my own family members and there is a legitimate connection to the requester... known family or friend or neighbor or...?
************************************************
Please, if you choose to correspond with me or leave comments, be courteous. If what you have to say has no silver lining or cannot be phrased with respect, perhaps it's best left unsaid. I will not respond to rude or ugly remarks, but may well report them.
Thank you for your interest and involvement in the Find A Grave community. Together, we are saving family history for future generations.
