Mary Price Campbell, 99, died peacefully at her Rugby Avenue home on Saturday, October 4, 2008.
Miss Campbell was the daughter of Grant and Ethel Campbell. She was born July 11, 1909 in Teaneck, New Jersey. Her family moved to Charlottesville in 1928 when her brother was enrolled at the University of Virginia.
Miss Campbell was active as a volunteer in many community efforts and supported numerous charities throughout the years. She was an avid reader and traveled extensively. She was loved deeply by her family and many friends and will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her nieces Mary, and Virginia, a nephew, Preston, along with four great nieces, two great nephews, one great great niece and one great great-nephew.
A graveside memorial service was held on November 12, 2008 at Monticello Memorial Gardens.
