Claude William Kamrath, born on 1 September 1910, at the Kamrath homestead and farm near Leith in Grant County, North Dakota and died on 11 March 1971, at Sacramento, California. He was buried in the Sunset Lawn Cemetery's Rose Garden at Sacramento, California. He was the son of Wilhelm "William" Christian Kamrath (1880-1961) and Nellie Viola (nee Emch) Kamrath (1883-1961).
Claude married in 1934, at Dickinson, North Dakota his first wife, Leata Elizabeth Molm (1911-1999). Their union produced two daughter before ending in divorce.
After World War II, Claude moved west and settled in Sacramento, California. He married in 1949, at Reno, Nevada his second wife, Retha Mae Elizabeth Morse (1917-1975). This second union produced a son.
