Helen Jean Jacoby, 36, of Greenfield, died Friday. April 27, 1979, in the Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. Mrs. Jacoby had been ill.

Mrs. Jacoby had been a kindergarten teacher in the Greenfield elementary school for 14 years.

She was born on Nov. 22, 1942, in Oraville, to Wiley and Helen Bilderback Pate. She married Perry Jacoby on Aug. 15, 1965, in Murphysboro. She was preceded in death by one brother.

Survivors include her husband of Greenfield; a daughter, Wendy and two sons, Larry and Jonathan, all at home; two sisters Katheryn Hanson of Murphysboro and Janet Littlefield of Gladstone. Mo.; one brother Matthew Pate of Murphysboro; and her parents of Murphysboro.

Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Neal Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin. Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
