Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan.
Mrs. Sharp was born Jan. 18, 1898, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of William and Nellie Souers Waite. She was owner and operator of Bruce General Store for 33 years and a member of the Methodist Church. She married C.D. Sharp on Jan. 20, 1926, in Charleston. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1985.
Surviving are her son, John W. of Seymour, Ind.; brothers, John Waite of Sullivan; George and Harry Waite, both of Decatur; sisters, Blanche Sutton of Sullivan; Mabel Knaus of Texico; Helen Batson of Westchester; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother.
