Message: Elizabeth Shively Clements, 77, passed away Sunday evening, February 23, 2003, in Seneca, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Sheriff W. and Effie Morris Shively of Ferrum. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. (Pete) Clements and a son, Gerald Shively Clements. Surviving are one daughter, Betsy T. Clements of Central, S.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. John L. and Diana Clements of Moneta and David K. and Susan Clements of Rocky Mount; one sister, Barbara S. Sink of Ferrum; three granddaughters, Elizabeth Ann Williams, Mary Catherine Clements and Brooke Shively Clements; six grandsons, E. Wade Williams, II, John Wilton Williams, Daniel Lanford Williams, John Randolph Clements, Benjamin Dudley Clements and Mark Alexander Clements; one great-granddaughter, Devin Alana Williams; one great-grandson, Austin Palmer Williams; and a special friend, Doris Dudley Hancock. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2003, at the Rocky Mount United Methodist Church with the Rev. Deroy C. Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at High Street Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
